Folke
The parish of Folke lies 3½ miles southeast of Sherborne and the church is dedicated to St Lawrence which was repaired and restored i 1875, the north and south Aisles were built in 1628 and the registers date from 1538.

The village is at the end of a short road south of the A3030 and in the 19th century most of the land was used to grow corn or was left as pasture and in 1891 there were 138 people living here, a Free School was built in 1844 though there was no post office.
