Salwayash

On the Broadwindsor to Bridport road you suddenly come to a small group of houses, a church and the Anchor public house beneath Pilson Pen which rises to 909 ft. This is Salwayash and the church that is dedicated to Holy Trinity sits on a small rise and was built in 1887 though and an older church on the oppostie side of the road is being used as a school.This tiny church have a beauty all of their own as White Poole, Red Fareham and Black Broadmayne bricks were used in its construction.

It has a Portland stone font with Hamm stone on the exterior.
