This is the village of Kimpton and not far away is the extensive land that is Perham Down Army Barracks, which extend over the county and into Wiltshire.

Here is the source of the Pillhill Brook and the village centre is grouped around the village green and at the other end is the site of the old school which was demolished and replaced by a village hall.

Here Bronze Age discoveries have been made, notably a cemetery at Karlis corner in 1966 this was found by Max Dacre a local archaeologist and it was found when William Flambert the farmer left this part of a field uncultivated for four years during this dig. Evidence was discovered of 108 cremation burials in pottery urns that were found to be around 3,500 years old abd aviyt 800BC.

The church, dedicated to St Peter and St Paul is behind Kimpton Manor and can be accessed by a grass pathway. It has a chancel that goes back to 1220 and the north door is the same though it is now blocked off.
