ANDREW HAMILTON STOBBO
NEW ZEALAND OTAGO REGIMENT

born 7th march 1894 and died 16th july 1918. He had 2 other brothers and a 1/2 brother. His mother had been married previous but was widowed by age 25. Her 2nd husband was the Rev Andrew Hamilton Stobo and Andrew is named after his father. He enlisted for war in 1916 and arrived in England 20th july 1917 and recieved a posting to France but by the following April he was ill and admitted to the NZ Hospital on 31st may 1918 where TB was diagnosed.

Prior to joining the army he worked as a stationhand at Walter Peak Station in  Lake Wakatipu which is at Queenstown in the South Island, a very scenic part of NZ.
