West Tisted
West Tisted is a parish in the north of the county 5 miles from New Alresford and it is a very pleasant little village with its church and manor house forming a rather attractive group whish is typical of the small villages that can be found in this part of the county. The church is from Saxon times and has a Norman font and the roof beams are over 700 years old,

The Altar table is Jacobean and a lovely memorial table to Sir Benjamin Tichborne and his wife can be found here. A large oak tree is not far away from the church and it is said that the this hid Sir Benjamin from the parliamentarian troops during the Civil War.
